English powerpoint: Fractions Fractions

Fraction: Is a number that represents part of a whole or part of a set. numerator Is the number above the line in a fraction. It tells how many of the equal parts are being used. denominator It tells us how many equal parts are in the whole. It is always the bottom number in a fraction. Proper fraction is always less than the denominator. Improper fraction is when the numerator is greater than or equal to the denominator
