Scots English
I made this PPT to highlight that different English speaking countries have different accents and different use of language. Students understand the concept as all countries have a wide, varied way of using language and accents, so they grasped it well and were able to put the words into sentences.
Being from Scotland, I wanted my students to see just how different language is used in Scotland compared to the way they hear me speak to them in class and the language I use around them. I´m not talking about cuss words, just good old slang or Scots as we call it in Scotland.
