Big And Small
One of the most important aspects of learning for humans is to understand the environment around them and also internalise important concepts from the patterns and relations found in the environment.
For children the following concepts are the basic building blocks on which further learning is built - Big & Small, Long & Short, Thick and Thin
Being concepts, these ideas do not exist in concrete form in the environment. They have to be grasped by looking at many concrete examples in the environment which reflect these concepts.
I have tried to collect many examples from the environment with which children are familiar with and through them help the children to build these concepts in their minds.
The presentation I am enclosing herewith tries to teach the concept of “Big & Small”.
