The Freytag Pyramid to Enhance Reading and Writing
The Freytag Pyramid created by Gustav Freytag is not only used to study the parts of a Greek or Shakespearean tragedy, but also to improve reading and writing in middle and high school, and also in ESL setting. Students can relate to the pyramid and fill it in with the information from a story, and then use the information to write a paragraph. This way their writing is more logically guided and they will easily recall the story read.
