PREPOSITIONS - Go Fish Cards / Happy Family Cards
This is a ´Go fish´ game or ´Happy Families´ game to practice Prepositions.
Pupils have 4 cards each and have to decide which preposition to collect (they can change their mind at any point on which preposition they are collecting). If they choose ´in´ then they have to collect a red ´in´, a blue, a yellow and a green ´in´ card to win.
Pupils take it in turns to ask ´Has anybody got a man IN a BLUE car´ etc. the rest of the players answer either ´yes´ or ´no, go fish´.
If someone has the card then they must give it to that player and take another card from the middle.
If nobody has the card then the player who is asking must take a card from the middle, and put a card down in it´s place.
Can be used for sentence work after, The man is IN BETWEEN the BLUE cars. or if you print out two sets of the cards it can be used as a pairs game.
