When you introduce your pupils to the past simple you have also to teach them the spelling rule related to single syllable words where the final consonant is usually doubled after a short vowel. Not in the case of x because that says /ks/. Well I am poor at teaching grammar so this worksheet will do the teaching for me. It is my first and I will share more depending on the response.
