Simple Present and Continous Pictures (jobs and actions)
You can use this worksheet to encourage your students to learn and say the differences between Present Simple and Present Continous. Help them understand that Present Simple is used to express habits, routine or permanent situations. Present Continuous, on the other hand, is used to express an action at the moment.
You can ask students to say one or more sentences that describe the first part of each picture (Present Simple), and one sentence that describes the second part of them.
E.g.: Steve is a carpenter. A carpenter works with wood. He makes cabinets, builds houses, or does other things with wood. Today, though, Steve is swimming.
