Easter Poem: Roses and Thorns by Richard Henry Stoddard (Irregular Verbs, Past Simple, Plurals, Articles)
The poem "Roses and Thorns" Richard Henry Stoddard was translated into Russian by Aleksey Pleshcheyev and then this translation was set for voice and piano by a great composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Now it is known as "Legend", No. 5 from "Sixteen Songs for Children".
First students revise regular and irregular verbs in the Past Simple (affirmative form). They also practise Plurals and Articles (Definite, Indefinite, Zero). The worksheet is perfect for revision of the topics.
The poem shows Christ�s redemptive death.
