I am going to visit a friend, because I have not seen my friend for a long time. All of these sentences begin with "I am going...." and use the word, "because". I did not know how to categorize this one. If you teach ESL and your kids have trouble speaking, you can use this as an idea. In actuality, I printed one sentence per page, very large type, and gave each student a page with a single sentence, then using a plastic toy microphone, I asked them, "Where are you going? (In Korean, ODI GA SE OH!) They understood the question and could give the answer since they were holding it in their hands. This "forced" them to speak out loud in front of the group. I made a game show out of it. If you have fun, you can do anything. You can change these sentences any way you want. It concentrates on the phrase, "I am going..." and to make the sentence longer, I added another phrase, "because.... I hope you find this to be motivating when you are trying to dream up something otside of a prefabricated activity.
