Classroom Connect 4
A game based on Connect 4 to practise / review classroom vocabulary.
Review the words:
crayons, lamp, blackboard, blind, eraser, teacher, pins, notebook, map, ruler, desk, paint, paper, paintbrushes, bell, boxes, books, drawing, calendar, scissors, sums, pencils, ceiling, wall, aquarium, badge, pupil, chalk, pens, plants, floor, glue, handle, easel, globe
Rules: Game for two players. Ideal for playing on Zoom. (or printed out in a real classroom but may need to pre-prepare some coloured discs). Share the image and review the vocabulary. Play ‘Rock paper scissors’ to see who goes first. Each player chooses a colour of circle. The first player chooses a column to drop their circle into and has to say the word it will land on (or make a sentence using the word). Using the annotation tools, create a circle of the student’s chosen colour and move it down the column to the bottom. Works with gravity like Connect 4. Next player’s turn. First player to get four in a row wins.
