Make a Sentence with a Tense Board Game
Have your students get into groups with 3-5 people per group. Have each player put their piece on start. (You can have them make a piece of paper with their initials on it or use their erasers, pen caps, etc. as markers.)
Give each playing table a square dice. Whatever number is rolled, the player moves spaces accordingly. On squares with a verb and a picture showing, the player must make a sentence using both. For example, if using the past tense, when a student lands on the first square they should say something like, "I ate a hamburger."
Teachers should choose the target tense before game play begins. First player to the finish line wins!
This board game is versitile for a number of tenses.
