Aa Picture Covers: An exercise in phonics with answer key.
I started this project several years ago but never completed it, now I have picked it up again.
I will give hints on each activity, sometime repeated, on how to use these activity cards.
Print on thick paper and laminate.
Children can ask you to ID any pictures without text before beginning.
Cover each picture with a poker chip.
Children take turns in removing chips and identifying the pictures or reading the text, if they cannot do so, then the chip is placed back onto the picture.
Points can be score, if need be, by counting chips.
