A2+-B1 Present simple, past simple, future simple (going to), present perfect & present continuous practise
Practising these essential tenses at A2+ to B1 levels helps learners communicate clearly about routines, past events, future plans, and ongoing actions. The present simple describes regular habits and truths, while the past simple is used to recount completed actions. Future simple (going to) helps with discussing future plans, present perfect connects past actions with the present, and present continuous describes current ongoing activities. Together, these tenses form a strong foundation, enabling learners to express themselves accurately across different time frames. First students familiarise themselves with the 30 verbs. Then they read the sentences and work out what tense of the suitable verb in bold is needed to complete the gap-fill. Answers on page 2.
