A1-A2 Practise with present simple, present continuous, past simple, past continuous & future simple 1
Students need to use present simple, present continuous, past simple, past continuous, and future simple to communicate effectively and express time-related ideas clearly in English. The present simple is used for routines, habits, and facts, while the present continuous describes ongoing or temporary actions. The past simple narrates completed events, and the past continuous provides context for past actions or sets the scene. The future simple is essential for talking about predictions, spontaneous decisions, or promises. By mastering these tenses, students can confidently discuss daily life, share stories, describe events, and make plans, enhancing both their written and spoken communication. First, students need to familiarise themselves with the 5 tenses and their use. Then they read the sentences to work out which one is needed to complete the gap-fill. Each tense is used 6 times!
