B1+-C1 Age related vocabulary 1
Learning age-related vocabulary equips students to recognise and discuss biases such as ageism, stereotyping, and discrimination, fostering greater awareness of the challenges faced by different age groups. Words like marginalisation, isolation, and vulnerability encourage empathy by highlighting the social and emotional impact of age-related inequality. Additionally, understanding terms like prejudice, oppression, and stigma promotes critical thinking about societal attitudes, media portrayals, and policies, enabling students to engage in meaningful conversations about equality, social justice, and inclusivity. First, students need to familiarise themselves with the 25 words and their meanings Then they read the definitions to see which one is being described and write that word in the space provided.
