Describing a Visit in the Past
This resource leads students through the steps of preparing for a descriptive speech using irregular as well as regular verbs. First, teachers read a model text (found on the last page) a few times as students listen for and fill in missing words. Next, students brainstorm memories of visits to special places for their speech. Gradually, they revise and refine these memories into a speech format. The resource also includes a rubric, which lends itself to student and/or teacher evaluation.
Please feel free to adapt this resource to suit the needs of individuals and/or classes. Thank you for using my resource, and please let me know how you will use it.
