I find this worksheet particularly useful as it can be used at different levels, as written or oral drills. Some activities I have done and proven effective are: Match vocabulary and images of city places. Write occupations related to all or some of the places. Describe the locations of different places (in front of, next to, etc.). Create a dialogue in different places (At bus stop: Excuse me, does bus number 24 stop here?... ) Write or talk about people who work in different city places (Secretaries work in office buildings. They answer the phone and greet visitors)
