Learning Colors and Flags! (Color in by word)
This is a great worksheet to teach kids about colors while also integrating a lesson about different country´s flags. You can show students a ppt ( made one to go with this but it is not loading correctly - I will keep trying) of a flag and then ask them to guess what country it is (start with the students´ home country to get them motivated). Then show them the location of the country on a map. Then have students color in either all the flags, some, or one (I cut them out).
The worksheet is good to review colors. You can also look up clothing around the world and have students also color the traditional costume of the flag/country.
Extra idea: Give students one flag and one costume (that do not match). When they are done coloring, have students match their country costume with the correct flag and trade flags with classmates to get the correct match. Then they can paste the correct flag on their costume coloring page.
(Here is a link for 4 countries´ traditional dress:

You can make additional flag coloring sheets from this site: http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/cbk.html -- It provides all flags organized by region. I copied the flags into a word doc and then made the color labels myself in word.
