FIVE THINGS
I use this activity at any given moment, especially when I need them to interact and talk. This is a brainstorming activity and it goes like this. Divide your class into two big groups, A and B. Give each student from group A, one slip of paper for student A and the same for B. In the big groups, students must write down five words related to the topics they have on their papers. When they are done, divide the class in pairs, students A with B. They canīt show their papers to their friends. They should seat facing each other. Now student A is going to tell student B only his/her first TOPIC. When the teacher says GO student B starts brainstorming words related to that topic and for each one he/she gets correct they get a point. Then student B reads his/her topic and student A brainstorms and so on until all five topics have been covered. Set a time limit for each topic. It takes quite a long time but once students get the hang of it, they have a lot of fun. I hope you like it. Cheers.
