I usually present the vocabulary words from the unit in pieces of card before I give my students this worksheet. I donīt tend to explain any vocabulary words before they try to finish the exercise, I want them to manage to get the meaning of words by themseslves, either by associating pictures with words or just by guessing. After they finish doing this they observe picture cards and check their answers, then and only if itīs totally necessary I give them meanings. This method has given me very good results and I feel they donīt forget the meanings of words so easily as they figure them out with little or no help.
