Do you have a coffee machine in your office?
This activity is for practicing fluency using questions "Do you have a/ any/" to elicit responses, "Yes, I have a/some" and "No I donīt have a/ any". Itīs a fun, interactive activity to use at the end of a unit covering the language objectives listed below. Students are to speak with everyone in the class, so ideally they should have one name per activity sheet.
Language objectives :
1) There is/ are
2) Some/ any : Question and response
3) Possessive pronouns
4) Vocabulary : Objects/ places in the work environment
Example dialogue :
Student A - Do you have a coffee machine in your office?
Student B - Yes, I do.
(Student A writes Student Bīs name in the blank, then moves on to speak to Student C, then Student D, etc.)
ALAN has got a coffee machine in HIS office.
