Using songs - listening for specific details; can also be used for Grammar and L1 translation
* Instructions in using a song as a īlistening for specific detailī exercise
* Song of your choice (here: Crowded House īDonīt dream itīs overī - ca. 3 mins.)
* Requires preparation - source or draw images - I have 14 images for the whole song - some showing nouns, some illustrating verbs/ideas.
* Discuss with pairs before listening begins, encourage them to correct each others ideas about the words, use resources they have
* Have successfully used this lesson with all sorts of ages and abilities
* Outcome: Students were challenged by the exercise, but delighted that they were able to complete (most of) it.
* Try it your self - itīs hard but good!
