This is a in depth discussion sheet that a fellow teacher and I developed for our higher level classes. The idea is that some kind of worldwide natural disaster has or will happen. You will be responsible for choosing who goes with you and where you will go. There is a list of the people you can choose from and each person has their own good and bad points. You as the teacher will set the limit on how many people students can choose from. There is also a list of things students can choose to bring with them. You set the limits and they have to choose and say why they chose each item. They have to plan like they will be in their new home for the rest of their lives so choose carefully. Finally there is a list of places they can live each with their own good and bad points so choose wisely. Also found within this sheet as questions about the people they might choose and about their attitudes towards others. i usually break the class into pairs for this but that is up to you. Have fun.
