Working with songs
Listen to the songs and fill the gaps, then talk about the underlined phrases and phrasal verbs. Make the students figure out what the singer wanted to mean by the different lines and or sentences (the story behind the song)and ask them to explain what makes them think their guesses are correct. Make them explain the uses of modals in context.
Explain the uses of separable and non-separable phrasal verbs by using let...down, take....out and move on. Check the new vocabulary.
