Flags of the World Matching Game (goes well with Children of the World Floor Puzzle from Melissa & Doug)
This is a matching game that helped my kids remember the names and flags of the 12 countries represented in the Giant Floor Puzzle "Children of the World" by Melissa and Doug (puzzle #2866).
My students and I worked with the puzzle, talked about the kids costumes and their flags,then we practiced saying and reading the country names. After a couple of days with the puzzle, I introduced the matching game in centers to assess students for recollection of countries and flags.
