Part of an hour long English corner/ grammar class The lesson as follows: 1. Introductions - find out name job and "Today?" from 3 classmates 2. hand out this and second worksheet, students need to work together to fill in missing sports 3.Use as basis of Have you ever (fill in who sections 4. remove ever elicit ´today´ with present perfect, any sentence - hopefully a few bight sparks already did this in the warmer 5. remove ´today´ ask if replacing it with yesterday is ok? - its not 6 some time is OK and some is not 7. give out time cards - further printable 8. in groups decide which cards can replace ´today´ for grammatically correct sentence. 9. students draw these themselves on a timeline. 10. point out that all acceptable times (In winter is a tricky one 4 sts who finish early) connect past to now (and sometimes go beyond that, this year for instance) and unacceptable ones are ´finished etc. - i.e. get students making sentence themselves, I usually get them hand them in shuffle and re-distribute and guess who´s they have in pairs. 11. end game pictionary with sports
