Present Perfect - Grammar Auction
It is useful as a grammar consolidation.This activity imitates a real auction. Before the classes teacher should cut out the sentences and the coins (page 2 and 3). Students are divided into groups. Each team gets a worksheet (page 1) and the same amount of money. The teacher reads aloud the first sentence and gives the starting price. Students have a look at the sentence (page 1)and they start offering. Who offers the most- gets the sentence. The teacher reads the second sentence .. etc. The auction lasts until all sentences are sold or the students are run out of money. Then there´s a summary: teacher says which of the sentences are correct. Wins the team which bought most of the correct sentences.
