Battle ships (present simple verbs)
A fun and interactive game of battle ships to practice the basics. A great way to repeat sentence structures, using the verb to be and other present simple verbs. It is aimed at making learners repeat affirmative, negative and interrogative forms for the verb to be and other present simple verbs. This exercise clarifies the differences between the verb to be and other verbs.
Empty squares have been left for pupils to add some of their own options. I find this a useful exercise for beginners.
