Pronunciation
Learning to pronounce English words is a difficult task for most ESL students. Why? Simply because English, being a ´hybrid´ language, is not very phonetic. The syllabic technique goes some way towards helping the student to become independent when learning new words/difficult words. That is, it is a way a student is able to learn the pronunciation of a word, without the necessity of asking, "how do I pronounce this word?"
