Can They Understand Each Other?
This is an activity that can be used to introduce a unit on British / American English. The aim of this activity is that students understand that there are differences between British and American English but that they are not as big as to make communication difficult. The worksheet is divided in two sheets, one to handle the students (the one with the picture of Poe and Shakespeare) and another page with directions for the teacher that wishes to do this activity with his or her students. My students loved this activity, I hope yours will love it too!
