Secret Sentence
This game is actually quite simple but difficult to explain.
Bear with me.
This works with any target sentnce.
First the students choose a sentence; one piece from column A, one from column B and one from column C. They write the sentence in the box with the lock. (You can have them fold the paper under along the dotted line to keep it secret!)
Then in pairs they try to guess their partners sentence. Taking turns back and forth they guess different sentences (and write them on the lines below). If they guess one piece of their partners secret sentence correctly then their partner will tell them, "One point" if two pieces "Two points" if three peices "three points"
They guess back and forth until someone has discovered the secret sentence! A great way to get students talking, listening and writing!
