Valentine Valentine "Mad-lib" Verb Tense Review

My students have loved this activity for years. I pull it out around Valentine´s Day to review parts of speech. It works like a mad-lib, if you are familiar with them. Students work in small groups or pairs to come up with random words using the parts of speech listed. Then, they insert the random words into the "Valentine." I put a copy of the letter on an overhead and then have groups take turns reading their letters out loud to the class. Everyone is in hysterics by the end and more than a few inside jokes have resulted from this activity.
