The students are offered to fill in the exercise in present tense making their choice whether to insert have/has to/must. Then they rewrite the sentence into the past tense using had to. The following 9 exercises make the topic closer to the ss as they have to make their own sentences after a brief discussion in the class using Have to/has to/must/had to.
