Halloween Fun Writing, Drawing and Bingo
This activity is a good Halloween filler. First go through the different icons of Halloween with whatever flashcards you are using (e.g. Frankenstein, mummy, Jack-o-lantern, black cat, witch...) Then ask the students to choose their favorite Halloween character, and write a few sentences about why they like it. Then they can draw their character in the box.
This can then be followed up by a round of Halloween Bingo to reinforce the vocabulary. Students write (or draw) their own selection of vocabulary in the 9 boxes (use a wildcard space if you have less than 9 vocab words) and then off you go with Bingo :)
Two worksheets in one - I used the top half as a classroom display along with copies of my picture flashcards, and the bottom half as a separate activity. Kids love Halloween, love to be able to choose their favorite character and draw it, and then everyone loves Bingo! Have fun with Halloween!
