short story assignment
this assignment asks students to pick one of roald dahlīs short stories, read it and do several tasks on and beyond the story.
9 tasks: summary, characterisation, vocab list, commenting quotes;
tasks BEYOND the story: research about one or two topics raised in the story and find articles (magazine or newspaper); summarise article and attach original; prepare one article for classmates (incl vocab list and questions); find a song and/or movie that fits the story and/or a topic raised; creative task (turn story into radio play; adapt it,...)
of course, you can adapt the assignment and use other short stories!
