animal actions die
Children cut out and colour in the animals. They fold and glue the dice. You might want to use some cardboard to make the dice more resistant :) The dice is very helpful if you are using Incredible English 2 as it was based on a chant from that book, but you can teach the chant anyway, without using IE2. It goes:
WALK LIKE A PENGUIN
FLY LIKE A BAT
RUN LIKE A ZEBRA
STRETCH LIKE A CAT
SWIM LIKE A DOLPHIN
SLIDE LIKE A SNAKE
TALK LIKE A PARROT
COUNT TO EIGHT
I had the children roll the dice and give the action corresponding to the animal they got - e.g if they got a penguin, they had to say: ´walk like a...´ to score a point. But you can think of any other ways of using the dice.
