Clothes and Outfits
Lesson for students already somewhat familiar with clothing terms. Introduces common clothing prints and how to use them when describing clothing items. It also touches upon some common phrases when describing outfits. In addition to the vocabulary and grammar portions, there are three excercise.
Excercise 1: Listening Practice. Describe three outfits for each number (one correct and two incorrect) and have students choose which is the correct one, a, b, or c. You will be describing a total of nine different outfits, only three will match the ones on the worksheet....hope thatīs not too confusing. You can adjust your descriptions to suit your studentsī level.
Exercise 2: Students will write up to four sentences describing the boyīs outfit.
Exercise 3: Students will describe an outfit to their partner and the partner will listen and draw described outfit. I cut out lots of different outfits from magazines and such and passed out a couple to each pair. Itīs always fun to throw a few crazy ones in there like pirates and french maids!
