This worksheet contains the lyrics to the fantastic song "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles. It is a gapfill exercise which can be used to practise tenses and compare the present simple to the past simple. It can be used in a variety of ways. I recommend using it in conjunction with the song (which can probably by found on you tube and other websites.) The students can then learn to sing the song afterwards. It can be used at a variety of levels. It can be used to revise colours with beginners and elementary students. Another option is to use it with intermediate levels and above to practise stress and improve intonation, by asking students to mark the stress in the correct places on the lyrics worksheet.
