Get to know your group
This is an activity based on students answering questions about themselves and their lives. It is suitable for groups of up to six students.
1.Copy, cut up and shuffle the number cards on pages 16 and 17 - one set for each group. Also copy Questions: Set 1 or Questions: Set 2 on pages 18 and 19 - one copy for each group.
2.The students work in groups of four to six. Give each group a set of number cards plus a handout of the questions. Tell them to place the number cards face down on the table. The first person in the group turns up a number, looks at the equivalent question on the handout and asks someone in the group the question. That person must try and answer. (But tell them that they can always īPassī if they canīt think of an answer or donīt want to answer.)
3.The next person now picks up a number and again asks someone the appropriate question. The activity continues in this manner.
4.Set a time-limit (e.g. 20 minutes), then stop everyone. (Few groups will have had time to go through all the questions
