United States Jeopardy
This is the answer key to a Jeopardy game with US trivia. The questions can be changed to multiple choice or true/false, for example, depending on the difficulty of the question and the level of English of your students.
HOW TO PLAY:
1. One way to start is to print each question and heading on a separate sheet of paper, with the point values on each question and tape them to the board. The side with the point values should be the one showing. Another way is that on the chalkboard, you can write each heading and the point values under it.
2. Split the class into 2 teams. Choose a team to go first, and let them pick a topic and point value that they want (Ex: history for 300)
3. Show them the question (or read it to them if you donīt put the questions on the board). Give the team 30 seconds to answer.
4. If they get the answer right, they win the points and get to pick another question. If not, the other team gets to try. If that team gets it right, they win the points and control, and get to pick the next question.
5. You can choose one question to be the "double Jeopardy" question: for example, instead of 400 points, if the team gets it right they will win 800 points.
At the end, the team with the most points wins. Students really love this game!
