Interpreting a Dilaogue
This is a wonderful activity for getting students talking. I´ts light, fun, and engaging.
The students talk in pairs talk to plan contexts for the dialogue. Then they take turns presenting the dialogue (reading it, with their context in mind); then the whole class discusses what they thought the skit was about.
It works best to give several pairs the same dialogue, because then the class gets to see a variety of interpretations, which adds to the fun and makes the discussion much more interesting.
