STUDENTS LIKE DOING THINGS! AN ACTIVE LEARNER IS A PRODUCTIVE LEARNER! I used these cards as a warm-up this week in both my beginner´s and intermediate level classes. The students LOVED them. DIRECTIONS: I gathered the Ss in a circle, and distributed just the latter half of the words. Then, one-by-one I passed out the cards with the word beginnings and had students go at it trying to make matches. It was really successful. Words: CHO-COLATE, FLO-WERS, FEB-RUARY, VAL-ENTINE, I LOVE-YOU, LO-VE, HON-EY, ROS-ES, KI-SS, H-UG, GI-VE, RE-CEIVE, HEA-RT, SWEE-TIE.
