SOAP OPERA - The SPY ROLE PLAY
I wrote the following SOAP OPERA roles basing on a similar game I once participated in as a student but it was not a spy who was to be found but a murderer. My idea of a spy came out because I did not want my students to be preoccupied with finding a murderer. I did it with many students all of which enjoyed the play very much. Many of them treated their roles very seriously and acted them professionally!!!
Students must talk with every person, collect all the information about each other in their roles and at the same time find our who of them is a spy, they must take notes. In the end, they share their ideas with the teacher and together they uncover the spy. The teacher asks the students why he was a spy if they dont have a clue, the student who had the role explains why. The teacher asks the students what they know about each of the characters. If you have less students, you can omit certain characters which arent key roles in the play.
