a game like scattergories
1)This is a game where ask students are split into groups and asked to write down as many foods, animals, verbs, countries, girl/boy names, sports, school supplies, etc. (select any of the examples provided)
2) It is a good idea to set a time limit ex: 5 minutes
3) Choose from letters like R, T, S, B, P, D, L, and G (you can assign different letters to different groups)
4) Once the students are finished you ask them to create a story use the words they came up with.
This is an answer key to help teachers if they get stumped.
