Fun game to review vocabulary. (Sorry, it was too big for one file. There are eight different tools in each set.) To play GrabIt •Cut out the pictures and cut out the words. •Fold up the words and put them into a hat (or box, etc.) to draw from. •Spread out the pictures in a random fashion with players seated around a table.(I recommend no more than four players.) •You (or a student) draws a word from the hat and reads it. •Each player tries to find the corresponding picture and grab it before the other players. •The player with the most pictures at the end wins. Variation: MatchIt •Cut out the pictures and cut out the words. •Divide the class into teams of 2-3 players. •Spread out the pictures and the words in a random fashion. •Team members work together to match the correct word with the correct picture. The team with the fastest time wins. •You can add a time penalty for every mismatched pair. You can also use the cards and words to introduce vocabulary. Make it a simple matching exercise without the competition.
