Before working on the handout, you need to work on Vincent Van Gogh`s biography. The kids need to know a little about his life and personality. SONG : STARRY NIGHT by DON McLEAN (also called : VINCENT) 1st : Display his painting "Starry Night" Get kids to describe it (to say what calls their attention most / colours the painter used, etc.) Brainstorm Van Gogh`s feelings at that moment. 2nd : Work on the WARM UP that appears in the handout. IMPORTANT : Let the kids listen to the song through twice and then start working on the different parts.
