No Prep-Verb Tense Speaking Game
This verb tense speaking game allows students to practice verb tenses in real conversation. Put students in groups of 2-4. Each group gets a game board, a set of cards, a dice, and some kind of marker/game piece to move around the board (one marker for each student). When a student lands on a particular verb they take a verb tense card from the pile (should be face down)and make a question using that verb and tense. Their partner(s) monitor for accuracy and answer the questions. Encourage students to converse; tell them that the object is to practice speaking, not to finish quickly.
