There is_ There are || Find your partner (2/3)
In this activity, each student gets a sheet (half A4) and try to find her/his partner. Studnets should ask their friend four questions (one per picture): Is there a ..(furniture)... in the ...(room).... || Are there 2 ..(furniture)..... in the ....(room)...... __________________________________________________ 1. You need to demonstrate by getting a few students to the front of the class. 2. make sure that two of them have matching cards. 3. let all the students see the card of one students and elicit from them the target language (there is || there are). 4. Tell them that the student need to find her partner with the same picture. elicit the question and have quick oral drill. 5. Now make another student show her card for the whole class. and guide the first one to ask the four questions. 6. You may need to break this activity down into groups instead of whole class due to management issues. This is part (2) of the activity 3 pages.
