For Task 1, you could split the class into 4 or more groups and get them to discuss one of the topics and jot ideas down. Two or three members then leave to go to the other groups to get other groupsī ideas. They then come back as a group and compile all information by sharing it verbally, using notes taken during questioning. They can then make up a poster titled "Why William won the Battle of Hastings" For task 2 (top 10 tips), students could be imaginative and brainstorm ideas. They can write them on post-its/butcher paper and stick them around the room. Other students circulate and read ideas. They choose 10 of the best for this assignment.
