Letīs Go Shopping Board Game- PART I
When I first created this game, the students drew the game board on a large piece o cardboard. Then we cut out the items for the stores. We had the best time creating it and they cant stop playing it.
For this game you will need a die and some tokens, you will also need play money, I use the ones from the monopoly game.
To start, every one draws a shopping list card and place their tokens on the office place. At the office they get $100 to start the game. They have to shop for all the items on their lists. When they get into a store, a student should be the seller holding the items list (so they can practicing buying vocabulary). They give the money to the teacher that controls the bankers tray. The teacher has to give changes and also pay $100 every time the student reaches the office place. If a student wants to be the banker it is ok, but make sure he is doing the right math.
To get money, the student can go to the bank, when he gets into the bank he rolls the die and multiplies the number he got by 100 and that is how much money he can loan from the bank (the banker will give him). If he wants to stay in the bank to try for a bigger number, he can, but he will miss one turn before rolling the die again.
On the shopping list there is an item that tells the student to go to the book store and read a book, he does not have to pay anything there, but he will miss two turns to read the book. These lists are shorter then the others.
The first student to finish all his shopping and go back to the office is the winner.
I had to upload this game in 8 parts cause there are lots of pictures on it, so it will take a few days. Sorry for that
But I hope you have the same joy we have playing it.
